A Whole-Food Snack Replacement Using Our Fiber & Spice Supplement
I’ve recently discovered my new favorite way to enjoy Balance of Nature’s Fiber & Spice supplement!
My kids, like most, love to eat snacks. However, typical store-bought snacks aren’t always the healthiest. As a health-conscious mom, I’m constantly looking for ways to improve snacks and still make them tasty. Thankfully, my kids love fruity granola bars.
Recently I decided to try and make my own homemade granola bars. While searching for recipes online, I found a few for no-bake granola bars that add a soluble fiber supplement to them, and it got me thinking. What would these taste like with the Fiber & Spice supplement?
So, I gave them a try, and they were a huge hit with the whole family! I had to share the idea with all of you.
Here’s how to make them:
Online:
Go online and find your favorite no-bake granola bar recipe. If the recipe doesn’t already call for a fiber supplement, simply add in a little bit at a time—however much you think is best. Remember, you can always add more but you can’t take more away.
Make it up yourself:
Feeling creative? Create your own no-bake granola bar recipe. Get your favorite nuts, seeds, oats, and dried fruits, and mix them together in an amount of your choosing. Next, stir in some Fiber & Spice supplement, remembering to add just a little at a time until it looks good to you. Then, grab some peanut butter and homemade maple syrup for your binding agent. Be careful not to add too much so you don’t have runny granola bars. Mix ingredients together and pour the mixture into a square pan lined with parchment paper. Pack it down. Place in the fridge for an hour to set, and enjoy! Refrigerate leftovers.
Do you like a little extra sweetness in your granola bars? Add the powder from 1 or 2 Fruits supplement capsules into your oat-and-nut mixture, along with the Fiber & Spice supplement.
These make for a perfect snack for you and others, whether you're on-the-go or simply craving something delicious. Give them a try, and tell me what you think! I can’t wait to hear your creative ideas.
